Where You Can Find New, Safer Bottles

More Information on Bisphenol A:

--Polycarbonate plastic contains BPA, while Polypropylene products and glass do not.

--Hard, translucent plastic marked with the recycling number 7 (inside the triangle) is probably polycarbonate, but if you’re in doubt, contact the manufacturer.

--BPA -free baby bottles are often more expensive than polycarbonate bottles.

--BPA is also founded in the lining of many metal cans.

The must have item for kids this summer isn't a popular toy, it may be a new bottle. Parents are hunting for products without the chemical BPA. Ninety-three percent of us have it in our bodies, and it has been in many plastics for decades. But as FOX25's Debbi Rodman explains, a recent health warning has many local families scrambling.
